On 18th Sep 2016 two fishermen were died due to an boat accident at time when they were gone at Haldi river for fishing. They belong to very poor families and chairman, Sri Deba Prasad Mandal kind-heartedly stands beside their families and donated them Rs. 5000.00 each for cremation of their bodies.
The people who were died in this boat accident at Haldi river, are: Sri Debasish Das, son of Late Rabindra Nath Das, and Sri Rabindranath Doloi, son of Amulya Doloi.
