Today, 1st July 2016, the auspicious birthday of Dr. B.C. Roy, Haldia Municipality has started an endeavor to build a Green & Clean Haldia under Swachh Bharat and Nirmal Bangla Mission. Sri Deba Prasad Mondal, the chairman of Haldia Municipality and Sri Jagatbandhu Das, the Executive Officer of Haldia Municipality has inaugurated two compactor machines. Many students, local councilors, local hawkers, local shop owners, and many active municipal residents have taken part into this program enthusiastically.
