Inspired by the vision of Hounourable Chief minister of Bengal, Smt. Mamata Banerjee and in the memory of Shahid Matangini Hazra, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the day of her martyrdom, Haldia Municipality dedicates the auspicious inauguration program on 29th September 2016, for:
The shelter is built in association with State Urban Livelihood Mission, Government of West Bengal and is the first 50 bed shelter for the homeless in the city of Haldia. The facility is dedicated to and will provide safe shelter 24/7 (day and night), for specified and vulnerable sections of the population completely free of cost.
The "SHAHID MATANGINI AABAS" will be inaugurated by Honourable Shri Shubhendu Adhikary, Minister for Transport, Government of West Bengal. The inauguration ceremony will be chaired by Honourable Shri Debaprasad Mandal, Chairman, Haldia Municipality.
